The organo-halide perovskite semiconductors have been an area of intense interest for photovoltaic applications. In the last few years, the perovskite solar cell have reached a significant milestone with a proven 20.1% efficiency. Yet, there are many materials issues not yet understood in this emerging field. In this project, we will characterise actual device solar cell structures with electron microscopy techniques and seek to understand the microscopic effects behind the device performance and reliability.
