Capabilties

The Department of Electronic Materials Engineering houses an extensive array of state-of-the-art infrastructure that enables and supports a broad range of research programs. Fabrication and characterisation are intrinsic to EME research and accordingly Departmental capabilities for each are considerable. The Department is also home to the Australian National Fabrication Facility which is accessed by national and international scientists from academia and industry. Beyond the Department, EME researchers make extensive use of the electron microscopy facilities of the ANU Centre for Advanced Microscopy and, further afield, large-scale synchrotron radiation and neutron facilities, most notably the Australian Synchrotron.
