Heavy Ion Accelerator Symposium on Fundamental and Applied Science - 2012

HIAS 2012 will be held from 11-13 April 2012 by the Department of Nuclear Physics at The Australian National University, Canberra.

The aim of the Heavy Ion Accelerator Symposium on Fundamental and Applied Science (HIAS) is to provide a forum to bring together researchers from Australia, New Zealand and Asia to discuss the uses and development of Heavy Ion Accelerators. It is intended that participants include, but are not limited to, instrumentation and accelerator experts, national and international researchers, students and potential user communities.

The Symposium program will include overview talks aimed at a wide-spectrum audience, and contributed presentations. A key focus will be student talks, with prizes for the best presentations. Topics will include:
