In the presentation, the physical base of the Alfvén resonance heating is explained. Two different approaches to heating implementation are compared. Usage of compact antennas is beneficial for the second heating scheme. Recent experimental results from Uragan-3M and Uragan-2M devices (Kharkiv, Ukraine) are presented and analysed. Possibilities of usage compact antennas for Alfvén wave plasma heating at H-1 heliac are discussed.
