Dear friends, colleagues and geo enthusiasts.

Geoscience Australia is collaborating with several other organisations to establish a fossil emblem for the ACT. This is a chance for us to get the whole Australian community excited about fossils and geological time, but we need your help! Here's some ways you can get involved:

• Follow the ACT Fossil Emblem on Facebook or Twitter, and share these postings on your own social media.
• Encourage any kids in your life to enter the colouring-in competition before 13 Oct - National Dinosaur Museum prizes are on offer!
• Visit our new ACT Fossil display in the GA Library to see the candidates up close.
• Check out our new digital fossil display on Google Arts and Culture.
• Share some fun resources from our education team about fossils and geological time.
• Learn all about the fossils on our website, and then vote for your choice by 13 October.

Thanks to all involved in this activity so far, including those of you drumming up interest in your own circles. We're eagerly waiting to see who the public will choose to represent the ACT's geological history!
