Email from RSPhys OHS 17 July 2020

Hello All,

As the return to work for all staff is scheduled for July 27th, there will be an increased vigilance on the current COVID-19 restrictions still in place at the University and will no doubt continue to be the case into the foreseeable future.

Even though staff have been approved to return on July 27th, it is still a University requirement that personnel read and acknowledge the RSPhys Protocols on the RSPyhys Intranet.

The RSPhys COVID-19 protocols can be found here: https://physics.anu.edu.au/intra/whs/

COVID-19 Information related to back to work phases being undertaken by the School. Please read for more information or contact your Head of Department or School Executive.

If you have not already done so, please send your acknowledgment email to ohs.physics@anu.edu.au in the format below:

Lab/workshop/office(s) location: [...]  My activity:  [...].

I have read and understood the RSPhys COVID-19 protocol, Risk Assessment and Safe

Work Procedure documents for School entry and my activity. I will follow these in undertaking my activity and whilst attending campus.

Please also read the RSPhys COVID-19 Risk Assessments for Lab/Workshop/Office. For specific risk assessments appropriate to your activity, please contact Physics OHS.

It is also a requirement for staff to complete the return to campus form on HORUS which is separate from the procedure above:

Step 1: Log in to HORUS (https://horus.anu.edu.au).
Step 2: For managers, navigate to the top of the page and ensure that you select the 'Employee Self Service Option' before proceeding.
Step 3: Select the 'HR Forms' tile from the employee self-service menu.
Step 4: Navigate to the 'Return to Campus' form on the left hand side menu.
Step 5: Click the 'Acknowledgement' box.
Step 6: Select the 'Date' that you will return to campus. Step 7: Click the 'Save' button and then the 'Submit' button.

More information on the return to campus can be found here on the ANU Web Pag

Return to campus - ANU

The University's Return to Campus Taskforce has created a graduated system for our return to campus. We are currently in Level B of our Return to Campus Plan. Level B means higher degree by research (HDR), Masters Advanced, Honours and undergraduate research or supervised project students will be able to return to do their work on campus when notified by their college or school. www.anu.edu.au

Finally

As stated before, there will be a greater emphasis on following the current COVID-19 restrictions in place. There will be another email sent out next week highlighting the current restrictions we have to adhere to while in RSPhys and the ANU Campus as a whole.

WEG will be conducting regular COVID-19 inspections throughout RSPhys, so the need to follow the current guidelines is paramount. In saying that, it has been noted that the previous inspections have highlighted the fact that RSPhys staff are following the protocols required of them. I would like to thank all personnel for their understanding, patience and professionalism in what is a challenging time for everybody here at RSPhys. If we can continue to be vigilant in how we operate, it can only be beneficial to us all in the long run.

As ever, we will keep you informed of any developments in an ever changing environment. Please fell free to contact myself or Sonia for any further information.

Regards,
