How School staff can translate scientific and education expertise outside of academia

Congratulations to Captain Marcus Doherty, Education Officer in the Australian War College and Senior Fellow in Laser Physics on his Silver Commendation from the Australian Defence Force. 

The commendation made by Major General Mick Ryan, Commander of the Australian Defence College, for Marcus' service to the College this year. In particular, for his redesign of the Australian Command and Staff Course (Reserve), which educates part-time Majors (and equivalents in other services) to become Colonels, delivery of education in military ethics and effective thinking, and expert contributions to the Advanced Technologies module of the Defence Strategic Studies Course, which educates Colonels (and equivalents in other services, intelligence agencies and APS) to become Brigadiers.
