Physics in the Pub, Call for Presenters - Canberra Jan 17.

Every January budding physicists from around the country converge on Canberra to study at the ANU Summer School – which makes the January pub night a highlight!

The Call for Presenters is now open for 8 minute presentations, on Friday January 17th. This year the theme is Spontaneous Coherence & Collective Phenomena In Quantum Systems, so if you have something cool in that vein that you’d like to share, let MC Dr Phil Dooley know (philuponscience@gmail.com)

Or if you have something physics related that’s completely different, that’s cool too, the students might be a bit over the topic by then!

This is a chance to break out of the educational vibe and just do some science entertainment – stand up, demos, quizzes, songs, anything goes. The audience are friendly, they have a beverage in their hands, so get creative! In the past we’ve had plays on optics, stand up on astronomy, and songs about Schrodinger’s cat. What will you do?

When: 6.30 PM 17th January 2020

Where: Badger and Co, Kambri, ANU Campus

How Much: Free
