meriSTEM Volunteering Hour - 26 June

Published in the Research School of Physics Event Horizon
Vol44 Issue24 17–21 June 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Join a great bunch of people to improve usability and accessibility of the meriSTEM Physics videos for Year 11 and 12 students. Each video is about 2 to 5 minutes, and all you need to do is proof read and edit the automatic YouTube transcriptions. The more who come, the more pizza there will be to enjoy at the end, and the more videos which will have improved accessibility ahead of Semester 2.

What is meriSTEM?: meriSTEM (modular educational resources in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a free program providing everything senior secondary teachers need to flip their science class using blended learning resources. We are only able to exist thanks to volunteer support and the Physics Education Centre at The Australian National University.

To RSVP: If you are available and keen to donate an hour, register through Eventbrite for catering purposes (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/meristem-volunteering-hour-registration-63365004434).

We hope to see you in the ANU Physics Studio at 4pm on Wednesday 26 June!
