BIT Education Workshop

Last week saw the conclusion of a two-week intensive laboratory-based physics education workshop led by Geoff Campbell.  The School hosted 25 Beijing Institute of Technology undergraduate students and two accompanying academics.

Thank you Geoff, and all staff and students who contributed to the successful running of this program.  By all accounts our visitors had a great new learning experience and overall a “wonderful, unforgettable” time.  A special thanks also to Arthur Xu, from the Joint Colleges of Science International Development and Partnerships, who provided organisational assistance throughout beyond the call of duty.

Part of this educational experience was the Aussie culinary delight that is snags on white toast.  The picture below shows Geoff and Arthur performing a field demonstration surrounded by fascinated (and hungry) faces at the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve.
