Be aware that across campus ants are on the move. There are a number of large red ant nests that are located on or near footpaths. These ants can bite. Bites can cause welts, redness, itching and stinging.

Location to be aware of: Walking path between University House and Graduate House.

Recommendations

• Do not touch or walk near or over ant nests;

• If able, walk around the affected area;

• If you are bitten by ants seek assistance from your local First Aid Officer
