Dear Colleagues,

The Australian High Commission in Singapore is holding an Australian Festival of Innovation in Singapore over the month of September. The Good Science = Great Business 2018: An Australian Festival of Innovation in Singapore and ASEAN will run throughout September and will gather top scientists and business leaders to promote innovation collaboration between Australia and Singapore, and into the Southeast Asia region.

To mark the opening of the Southeast Asia Liaison Office in Singapore in the Australian High Commission, the University has agreed to play a major role in conducting  a coordinated campaign of substantial and sustained activity over the entire month both hosting and participating in a number of Festival Lectures and Expert Panels.

Innovation ANU is delighted to be able to offer 5 outstanding HDR students the opportunity to travel to Singapore to attend some of the key festival events and participate in a program of activity designed to provide a snapshot of the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Singapore. The delegation will be led by Professor Michael Cardew-Hall, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Innovation and will include visits to innovation nodes on the campuses of the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, visits to start-up incubators such as SgInnovate and the FinnTech Hub and the opportunity to attend expert panel discussions involving leading academics and organisations.

This opportunity is open to all HDR students who have a keen interest in entrepreneurship. It would be greatly appreciated if you could pass this information on to interested students.

Applicants must be available travel to Singapore between 25th – 28th September. Please find attached the programme brief and application form.

Applications close 9am on Monday the 10th of September.

Please feel free to contact me for further information.
