Dear Colleagues

I am pleased to announce the University’s new Indigenous cultural awareness program - Core Cultural Learning - is now available on Pulse for all ANU Staff.

This interactive course is designed to enhance cultural capability across ANU and build greater awareness of the vast history and cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Core Cultural Learning contains 10 modules of approximately 1 hour each. Each module contains a variety of videos and quality resources that provide a foundation for understanding of traditional knowledges, cultural expression and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.

All new staff will be required to complete Core Modules 1 and 2 as part of their probation requirements.

All ANU staff have access the 10 online training modules through Pulse and are able to work through the content at their own pace.

Further information about the course content can be found on the Human Resources Training & Development page – Core Cultural Learning.

The official University launch of the Core Cultural Learning program will be held on Friday 25 May at the start of Reconciliation week.  Further details about the launch can be found at ANU Events.

I thank you for your assistance in making this information available to staff within your areas.

Best wishes

Nadine
