Subject: Water Pilot Technology Program - Opening of competitive round
Application Dates: The deadline for submissions is 9:00am Monday 23 April 2018 (Sydney local time).
Summary: Guidelines attached. This scheme provides grants to develop and pilot new technologies to assist with water regulation and ensure compliance and better protection of environmental water in the state’s river systems. The Water Pilot Technology Program is providing a total grant pool of A$500,000, with up to A$150,000 awarded to each successful applicant. Proposals could include: remote sensing technologies for measuring, monitoring and modelling water diversion, water storage and water use at a farm scale, overbank and end-of-system flow; and innovations that build on existing systems to improve data gathering, public reporting and assessing the risks of noncompliance. When fully scaled, the technology must offer ‘value for money’ for all users.
