Dear all,

We have several upcoming workshops this month, as well as two new workshops.

New workshops:

The Introduction to Quantitative Microprobe Analysis workshop will be held with Jeff Chen on 21st March. This workshop will provide attendees with background information and practical advice for the basic operation of an electron probe X-ray microanalyser. People interested in attending will need a basic understanding of the operation of the SEM and EDS.

On 12th April, Frank Brink, Joanne Lee and Melanie Rug will deliver the Introduction to Scanning Electron Microscopy (Life Sciences) workshop. This workshop will help participants understand how an SEM works, how to prepare samples for various applications, how to optimise SEM for biological imaging, and identify the various components making up an SEM.

March workshops:

·         Introduction to Transmission Electron Microscopy (Life Sciences), Tuesday 13th March with Joanne Lee

·         Introduction to Scanning Electron Microscopy (Physical Sciences), Wednesday 14th March with Frank Brink

·         Introduction to Transmission Electron Microscopy (Physical Science), Thursday 15th March with Felipe Kremer

·         Introduction to Light Microscopy, Tuesday 20th March with Daryl Webb.

Please visit the links above for more information on what is offered in these workshops. Please contact me to register if you would like to attend any of these workshops, or if you have any questions about CAM training.

Kind regards,

Josie
