Researcher from NLPC awarded 2017 “MCP100 in China”

Dr Lei Xu from the ANU Nonlinear Physics Centre was awarded the “The 100 Most Creative People in Business 2017 in China” (MCP100 in China) by a media in China – <快公司Fast Company>, in recognition for his contributions to applications of nanomaterials, particularly tuneable nanomaterials, which provide an important step toward multifunctional high-performance compact devices.

Dr Lei Xu is a postdoctoral researcher in ANU Nonlinear Physics Centre, his currently research activities are focused on light-matter interactions at nanoscale, nonlinear nanophotonics and tuneable nanomaterials.

The magazine <快公司Fast Company> is the authorized Chinese version of the American business magazine <Fast Company>. Since 2014, every year, it selects 100 Chinese people from different industries as “MCP100 in China” due to their high creativities, new ideas in innovation and may cause explosions in new areas and directions. 400 people has been awarded up to now, including Tu Youyou – the Chinese pharmaceutical chemist who discovered artemisinin and received Nobel Prize in 2015, Ang Lee – the famous film director, screenwriter and producer, Jack Ma – Chinese business magnate who is the founder and executive chairman of Alibaba Group, and so on.
