#LearnActImpact: 14 NEW courses designed to help you change the world

Three simple, powerful steps we can all take to create a better world.

Last year, a group of Coursera employees came together to answer what felt like an increasingly pressing question: how could we, as an education technology company, play a larger role in addressing the social issues that threaten stability around the world? We were proud of the progress we’d made with initiatives like Coursera for Refugees. But we also wanted to raise awareness of the problems that lead to inequality, and of the ways each of us can contribute to solutions. We believe that understanding a problem is the first step toward creating change—and we wanted to empower our learners to learn about and act on the issues that impact their families, businesses, and communities. We issued a call to action to our university partners—could they create online courses that would spark this kind of empowerment and transformation? The response was overwhelming.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of 14 brand-new courses in topics like social justice, diversity, and inclusion, and global challenges.
