ARC Linkage Projects 2017 Round 1

The Joint Colleges of Science is calling for expression of interest for the ARC Linkage Projects 2017 Round 1.

Please contact the College Research Office (CRO, arc.rm@anu.edu.au) by 12 June 2017 if you are planning to submit a proposal in/before September 2017.

The Linkage Projects scheme promotes collaboration between higher education institutions, government, industry, business and other research end-users. It has changed for continuous submission since 1 July 2016. This change has led to substantial drops in the total number of applications submitted to the ARC from Australian Universities in 2016. For ANU, the Joint College of Science submitted 3 applications during 1 July – 22 December 2016, compared to the 5-year average of 12 proposals per Round.

*The drop of total numbers could lead to a higher success rate under the continuous LP Scheme.*

To encourage the submission and help organise the submission process, the Joint College of Science have set the internal timelines for two Rounds of submission in 2017. It will also help you to receive the most up-to-date communication and support from Research Office.

The deadlines for Round 1 are below:

Budget, Justification and Letter of Support due to CRO Monday, 10 July 2017

Complete Application due to CRO Monday, 21 August 2017

Request Not To Assess, ARC Certifications, and CPA Tool Approval Complete Monday, 4 September 2017

Final Application due to CRO for ARC Submission Monday, 4 September 2017

A call for Round 2 will be sent in late August.
