If you are in communication with any students who may be eligible for this opportunity, please let us know as soon as possible.
Our deadline to submit nominations to the College is 19 November 2023.
Potential candidates need to submit an application for admission to ANU as the first step of the process.
The HDR team can provide information to the candidates on how to apply and the documentation that needs to be submitted (CV, academic transcripts, research proposal, evidence of English language ability, a minimum of 2 referees need to be nominated in the application form).
Students need to mention in the application that they wish to be considered for the Maitri Scholars Program – in the Scholarship section of the online application they need to select “Other” and then type in Maitri Scholars Program.
Once the application for the admission has been assessed and the student deemed eligible for admission into the PhD program, a statement addressing the selection criteria (p12-13 of the attached guidelines) will need to be prepared.
Some criteria will need to be written by the applicant and their supervisor and some by the College or School and some on behalf of the ANU.
