Westpac Research Fellowship 2024 - Calling For EOIs

Minimum $400,000 over five years.
Eligibility
For applicants to be considered for funding, they must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Must have been awarded a PhD between 1 September 2017 and 1 September 2020; or have obtained an Eligibility Exemption from the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) or equivalent if your PhD was awarded prior to 1 September 2017.
- Proposed area of research is in a field of research at a participating university with an ERA four digit Field of Research (FoR code) rating “well above world standard” in the ERA 2018 exercise.
- Must be able to commence the Fellowship by 30 June 2024.
- Proposed research must contribute to the future of Australia in one of the four funding priority areas (Section 2.5 of the attached guidelines):
- An Inclusive Country
- Australia in Asia
- Sustainable Futures
- Thriving Tech Sector
- Must include international opportunities which will develop your leadership skills and global networks.
Application Timeline
5 July 2023 – Applications Open
12 July 2023 – Send EOIs to Research Office with School Director’s support
9 August 2023 – Submit complete application for CRO review
10 August 2023 2:30pm – Online Information Session. Register
4 September 2023 5:00pm AEST – Applications Close
