ARC LP23 now open

The ARC Linkage Projects 2023 (LP23) for Assessment Round 1 is now open in RMS for applications and we look forward to supporting you throughout the application development and submission process.  (Note: There are three Assessment Rounds for applications for LP23).

o    Full review ready application (submit in RMS) 
o    Request Not to Assess (RNTA) if required (submit in RMS)
o    Foreign Engagement Assessment Submission due, if required (This is required if you will be engaging with any overseas collaborators, formally or informally. Please include arc.rm@anu.edu.au in ‘Contact email’ (fourth field) in addition to your own email)

*The College Executive deadline is not the date of the first submission to the College Research Office, but the final submission to the CRO incorporating CRO review feedback for internal delegate approval and submission to the ARC. Applications that have not been received and finalised prior to this date will not be submitted to the ARC.

Further application resources including templates etc. will be uploaded to the CoS Intranet, as they become available.

ARC’s Research Management System (RMS):

•    If you do not have an RMS account please go to the ARC website and request an account and then email me so that I can validate your account in RMS. If you already have an RMS account or your co-Chief Investigators or Partner Investigators do not have RMS accounts please ask them to request an account and then email me so that I can validate their accounts in RMS.  
•    If you and your co-Chief Investigators or Partner Investigators already have RMS accounts, please ensure that those RMS profiles are up to date.
•    If you (or your co-Chief Investigators or Partner Investigators) have not yet connected your ORCID to RMS, please take the opportunity to do this now. Researchers are now able to auto-populate their research output data into their ARC RMS profiles and application forms. An RMS guide to assist you with this process (RMS Research Output Instructions) can be downloaded from the CoS Intranet. Researchers can now auto-populate their research output data into their ARC RMS profiles and application forms via ORCID.
•    As a reminder, in order to apply for ARC grants, you must now answer questions related to Foreign Interference and Conflict of Interest on your RMS profile. The new questions were designed to support the transparency of personal interests and to provide a mechanism to declare relationships and support to the Administering Organisation and the ARC.  

ARC Grant Guidelines, Grant Agreement and Instructions to Applicants (ITA):
•    Please read carefully the ARC LP23 Grant Guidelines, Grant Agreement, and Instructions to Applicants (ITAs) documents, all of which can be downloaded from the CoS LP23 Intranet

Eligibility check:

The College Research Office will be conducting an eligibility check on your application to ensure you meet the minimum eligibility requirements. 

Tools and resources:

•    Tools and resources to assist you with the application process can be downloaded from the CoS LP23 Intranet.  Further resources will be made available at the same intranet location in due course. 
•    The CoS Intranet login details are as follows:
-    Login details for ANU Candidates are your Uni ID and password.

ANU approval to apply:

•    Before your application can be submitted to the ARC, it has to be approved by the ANU delegate while you and your co-investigators will need to complete and sign an ARC Certification Proforma. Details about the delegate approval process and the ARC certification Proforma will be provided to you in due course.
