Award categories

2021 “COVID-19” contribution (Individual or Team)
To be awarded for an outstanding contribution or the implementation of an initiative that greatly assisted members of the ANU community to deal with the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on the University community in 2021.

Individual service contribution
Examples of contributions and impacts:

• An outstanding contribution that improves the School, College or University
• The implementation of an improvement or initiative that helps create an exceptional student and/or staff experience at ANU
• A significant improvement in work practices resulting in process or cost efficiencies

Team service contribution
Examples of contributions and impacts:

• An outstanding contribution that improves the School, College or University
• The implementation of an improvement or initiative that contributes to creating an exceptional student and/or staff experience at ANU
• A significant improvement in work practices resulting in process or cost efficiencies

Leadership
The outstanding leader award is granted to a staff member who demonstrates an outstanding level of commitment, innovation or excellence in leading people.  This award seeks to identify high performing and highly committed leaders and to celebrate their achievements and efforts.  

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA)
The IDEA award is granted to an individual or team that makes an outstanding contribution to promoting inclusion, diversity, equity and access in their work area, the broader School, College or University community.

Eligibility
Award recipients will usually be staff or HDR students from the College of Science, but may include other members of the College, ANU or wider community where the contribution has benefited the College community.

Award
Recipients will receive:

• A certificate of commendation from the College Dean
• A choice of a non-monetary reward from amongst a number of options
