Dear Colleagues

The Vice-Chancellor has confirmed that the University will be closed from close of business Monday 24 December 2018 until Tuesday 1 January 2019, reopening on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

If you are required for operational reasons to work during the closure period of 25 December 2018 to 1 January 2019, you will be provided with time-in-lieu or additional paid leave for the time worked.

Outside of the closure period, normal leave provisions apply.

As this is a quiet time of year for the University, staff are encouraged to take annual leave on Monday 24 December 2018, and during the period 2-4 January 2019.

Please check with your supervisor to confirm leave arrangements and apply for leave via HORUS.
