Mr Kai Wang (NLPC) on winning the Best Talk Prize at the IONS KOALA conference on Optics, Atoms and Laser Applications, held in Melbourne, Australia. The conference brings together Honours, Masters and PhD students from Australia and New Zealand.
Kai gave an exciting talk on "Polarization measurement with all-dielectric metasurfaces: From classical to quantum light", staring with an overview of fundamental theoretical concepts and progressing to his cutting-edge experimental results demonstrating optical polarization measurements with ultra-thin nano-structured metasurfaces, which can facilitate important advances in classical and quantum photonics.
Well done Kai!
