A group of ANU HDR supervisors from across the ANU Colleges recently participated in the UTS course, Supervising Indigenous Higher Degree Research. Participants in this course and the HDR Supervision Development Team will host a forum on 17 August, 12-1pm, to share their reflections as a catalyst for discussion and follow-up; including encouraging others to undertake the UTS course. You can read a blog about the course at the Forum on the HDR Supervision Development Portal.

Please join us in-person or online, and please share this invitation with your colleagues – details and registration here. Those joining in person are invited to stay for informal discussion over lunch, which we’ll plan to do outdoors – please signal your interest on the registration page.

For your information:

  • there’s also a blog on this topic on the HDR Supervision Development Portal, under ‘Forum’,
  • a reading pack on ‘Supervising First Nations HDR and topics’ will be posted on the Portal early next week, as part of the series of reading packs linked from the home page;
  • participation in the UTS course costs c $1150 per person. The Office of the Dean HDR can support a few places, but we will need to draw on support from Colleges/ Schools/ Centres to support most participants in the future.
