Women* in Physics to Meet Women* in Astro - Mon 6th June

Published in the Research School of Physics Event Horizon
Vol47 Issue21 30 May–3 June 2022

This is an opportunity to network with your peers and visit one of the great observatories of the world, the Mount Stromlo observatory. It's history includes designing optical munitions during the Second World War, weathering two devastating bushfires, and earning one Nobel Prize. Come along to meet women, learn about their work and share your career and life experience in Physics.

This event is open to all those identifying as women working in the RSAA or Research School of Physics (RSPhy) at the ANU. PhD students are particularly encouraged to participate.

Participants will be offered to have their photograph taken for professional use (CV, seminars, etc.,) during the event.

As most of the observatory tour is outdoors, we recommend bringing a sun hat and water as well as a warm jacket. A parents’ room will be accessible.
