Nuclear reactions : from the cosmos to the human body

French-Australian FASIC workshop

This workshop proposes to gather experts of the Sub-atomic Physics community to explore nuclear reactions and their applications, from astrophysics to medicine. These applications include, but are not limited to, stellar nucleosynthesis, physics of neutron star, and hadrontherapy.  These applications are extremely promising nowadays benefitting from the last developments in terms of detection systems as well as theoretical calculations of nuclear collisions.
The workshop will take place over two days, with informal oral presentations. Plenty of time will be allocated to discussions. All welcome to attend.

The workshop will be concluded by a discussion around future collaborations between French and Australian communities in the form of an “International Joint Laboratory”.
