EOI - Education and Engagement

Dear all,

For me, some of the most rewarding aspects of being at ANU have come from saying “yes” to the opportunities that came by surprise. I’ve had the chance to engage in projects and visit places that were unimaginable before I arrived here.

As the National university, ANU strives to embrace our unique responsibility and opportunity to constructively engage with our neighbours in Asia and the Pacific. Physics at ANU is the most internationally collaborative physics school in Australia, and we are looking to expand these activities through education and engagement with the developing world

This is a call for expressions of interest from staff or students from across the School who might be interested in contributing to the RSPhys International Engagement program. Examples of current projects include:

Tertiary-level education programs with China and India; Basic education in Timor Leste; Science Circus Pacific in collaboration with CPAS; Nuclear science in Myanmar…

Opportunities are abundant and diverse. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact AJ Mitchell (aj.mitchell@anu.edu.au or x53526).

Regards,

AJ
