John Carver Endowment Fund

The John Carver Endowment was established in honour of late Professor John Carver with the help of his family and the Research School of Physics.

Professor Carver was the Director of the School, a post he held from 1978 to 1992. He was dedicated in the area of nuclear and atmospheric physics and was involved in the design and launch of the first Australian-made satellite, which recorded data on the absorption of ultraviolet radiation in the upper atmosphere.

The purpose of this Endowment is to provide support for Honours scholarships for students at the Research School of Physics.
