Mike Gore Physics Education Precinct Launch - Friday 9 February 2018

The Research School of Physics and Engineering (RSPE) and the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at ANU invite you to the opening of the Mike Gore Physics Education Precinct.

This naming recognises ANU Professor Mike Gore - a pioneer, leader, teacher and mentor in science communication and science centres in Australia. In addition to being the founding director of Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre, Mike has been recognised with the Eureka Prize, and is an Officer of the Order of Australia. Mike’s contribution to science awareness in Australia and globally has, and continues to be, immense - from co-founding the Shell Questacon Science Circus to inspiring countless people through his inimitable science shows.

Please join us as we honour Mike and celebrate his achievements in the new space which bears his name. In addition to the proceedings, and true to Mike’s approach to both engage and entertain, we will have some demonstrations and experiments which should delight, amaze and inform!
