The newly funded ANU Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics (CGA) is in the process of recruiting for a women-only faculty position, to be held jointly between RSPE and RSAA (Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics).
The position will involve teaching and research in the fields of theory, detection, analysis and follow-up of the astrophysical sources of gravitational waves. Three shortlisted candidates Dr Ling (Lilli) Sun from Caltech, Dr Jocelyn Read from California State University Fullerton, and Dr Tanja Hinderer from University of Amsterdam are invited to ANU for the final interviews in late July.
As part of the selection process, each invitee will give a colloquium to RSPE on Thursday July 25th. All staff and students are welcome to attend the colloquia.
Thursday 25th July, RSPE Colloquium, Finkel Theatre
Dr Jocelyn Read from California State University Fullerton (11:00 am)
Neutron star matter and gravitational waves
Dr Ling (Lilli) Sun from Caltech (1:00pm)
