Dear Colleagues,

Staff within the ANU who supervise an individual or team (or who may do so in the future), are required to have undertaken Recruitment & Selection of Staff Training (RMHR02) to be able to act as Chair on a Selection Committee. This training is important, as it enables participants to:

Understand ANU recruitment and selection procedures, and best practice methodology; Know how to attract, select and recruit the best person for a position; and Understand their role as a Chair or member of a Selection Committee.

Due to the low number of staff within the College of Science, College of Health & Medicine and Joint Colleges of Science who have undertaken this training, we have engaged the Central HR Division to facilitate a Science/Medicine specific training session in February. This session will include information relating to Science specific recruitment practices, and will include time for Q&A with your Science HR team afterwards. Attendance at this session is at no cost and will be recorded in your ANU training profile.

Details of the session are:

You are able to check if you have attended this training in HORUS > Training > View Training Summary > RMHR02/Recruitment & Staff Selection.

To ensure that this is captured in your training summary in HORUS, please ensure that you register to attend via Eventbrite no later than COB Wednesday 6 February 2019.

Should you have any questions regarding this, feel free to contact your local HR team.

Kind Regards,
