Nominations for the 2019 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education are now open for all university academic and professional staff, recognising and rewarding the diverse contributions staff make to the quality of learning, teaching and the student experience in ANU.

Nominations open 28 October and will close 23 November 2018.

Nominations may only be made by delegated representatives of the Colleges, Divisions, and other areas of ANU, including College Associate Deans (Education) or delegates from College Awards Committees, Division Directors or delegated staff, and senior staff from other areas of ANU. Individuals may not self-nominate for the VC's Awards. Further information is on the VC Awards guidelines page. 

All nominations are to made on the 2019 Nomination Form.

As part of a progression plan leading to higher recognition, those who are successful in being awarded an ANU Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Education will be nominated to submit an application into the prestigious Australian Awards for University Teaching scheme.

There are six award types:

• Awards for Teaching Excellence *
• Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
• Awards for Excellence in Supervision *
• Awards for Indigenous Education #
• Citations for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning *
• Awards for Excellence in Tutoring or Demonstrating

*  An Early Career category is offered in the Award for Teaching Excellence, the Award for Excellence in Supervision, and the Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning. 

#  The Award for Indigenous Education includes the categories of Teaching, Program, Supervision, Contribution to Student Learning, and Tutoring-Demonstrating.

Nominees will be advised of their nomination by the end of November and invited to attend an awards Q&A Workshop on 4 or 11 December.
