Installation of centrally managed printers
On Monday 20 August 2018 a fleet of new centrally managed printers around Physics South (excluding Nuclear) were installed. These new printers will use YSoft SafeQ to provide a flexible managed secure printing solution. Documentation on the new printer solution will be available at https://physics.anu.edu.au/scu/printing
Once YSoft is installed and set up on your computer, simply print your document, then walk to whichever printer is most convenient and securely release your print with your ANU ID card. Scanning will be simplified as the printer will know who you are and be able to automatically send scans to your email address.
As part of this rollout the older non-managed printers in the school will be retired. Through better management of printing and retirement of older more expensive to run machines it is hoped we can reduce waste.
Please bear with us during the implementation phase, and send any suggestions to rspe.it@anu.edu.au
