Dear Colleagues,

The Federal budget seems to have been good for science, but more details to follow.  An excellent summary can be found at the AAS website;

An outline of all new Budget measures can be found in Budget Paper No 2 and in greater detail in the various Portfolio Budget Statements.

From my quick scan key things for us are;

• NCRIS funding for major facilities,
• health and medicine funding (particularly around devices),
• Space and earth observation.
