RSPE MAJOR Network Outage Notice

Dear RSPE Community,

Please be advised of the following MAJOR network outage for RSPE South precinct.

Location: All South precinct buildings (will not affect DQS and PEC aside from some hosted services)
Start: 7:00 AM Saturday, 26th Aug 2017
End: 5:00 PM Sunday, 27th Aug 2017
Duration: 2 days (actual downtime may be less than advertised)

Reason for downtime:

Replacement of all major Network infrastructure.

This includes fixed and wireless networks, telephone services and many building management/security services. These network disruptions are unavoidable as all network infrastructure within these buildings is being replaced. 

- All users are requested to log off or turn off their machines, including lab equipment reliant on networks, to reduce problems before this time.
- All labs requiring emergency phone procedures under WHS provisions should check for availability of other communication methods during this time.
