Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2025 - Applications Now Open

Overview
Since 2013, the GYSS has been bridging the gap between aspiring researchers and the foremost scientists and technologists of various fields. All attendees will have the opportunity to engage and connect with distinguished speakers, which include recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Turing Award and Millennium Technology Prize. 

The Summit offers a series of activities, including live plenary lectures, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking platforms. Participants will also stand a chance to:

  1. Be part of small group informal sessions with their pre-selected speaker(s);
  2. Present their research on stage or through poster sessions; and
  3. Visit institutes of higher learning and other prominent landmarks in Singapore.

Mode of participation
Attendance of the GYSS is on-site in Singapore.

The GYSS Organizing Committee will cover ONLY the following items for each participant: 

There is no registration cost to participate at GYSS.

For clarity, the Summit will NOT cover:

Flight Arrangements: Please note that Participants would need to arrange for their own flights to and from Singapore. 

Participants may be eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor's HDR Travel Grants 

Nominations
The ANU are able to nominate up to 5 participants. Please note that a nomination by ANU does not guarantee an invitation to participate in GYSS. The GYSS Organising Committee reserves the right to shortlist the nominees.

Any candidate who wishes to apply will need to email the following documents to gro@anu.edu.au by COB 2/08/2024 to be considered for selection as one of the ANU nominees:

30/08/2024 - ANU nominees and unsuccessful ANU applicants notified by email
Aug – September 2024 - ANU nominees will be contacted by National Research Foundation Singapore (NRF) (via their ANU email address) to complete their registration for shortlisting
TBC - ANU nominees will be informed of the status of their applications by NRF
