GYSS 2024 - Applications Now Open

Overview
Since 2013, the GYSS has been bridging the gap between aspiring researchers and the foremost scientists and technologists of various fields. All attendees will have the opportunity to engage and connect with distinguished speakers, which include recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Turing Award and Millennium Technology Prize.

The Summit offers a series of activities, including live plenary lectures, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking platforms. Participants will also stand a chance to:

Be part of small group informal sessions with their pre-selected speaker(s);
Present their research on stage or through poster sessions; and
Visit institutes of higher learning and other prominent landmarks in Singapore.

Mode of participation
Attendance of the 2024 GYSS is on-site in Singapore at the above mentioned venue.

Nominations
The ANU are able to nominate up to 5 participants. Please note that a nomination by ANU does not guarantee an invitation to participate in GYSS 2024. The GYSS Organising Committee reserves the right to shortlist the nominees.

ANU Applications
Any candidate who wishes to apply will need to email the following documents to gro@anu.edu.au by COB 7/06/2023 to be considered for selection as one of the ANU nominees:

Selection Criteria: One page addressing the selection criteria (see Appendix B below for details).
CV: A short CV (no fixed format but should highlight research interests, education background, awards and key publications), and
Support: A letter from a supervisor or Head of Research School in support of the person’s application. Please note that if the applicant is a student enrolled in a coursework program they must have a letter from their College Dean of Associate Dean endorsing their application.
