Why a Science Communication Workshop?
All scientists are under pressure to communicate with the public about their research. This pressure comes from funding bodies, from those concerned with the public awareness of science, from those concerned with recruiting and with policy makers. Improved public and media communication is essential if the public is to understand better who scientists are – and what they do.
