1. 2022 AINSE Honours Scholarships: applications now open (applications close 15 March 2022) (flyer available online)
 
Eligible students from AINSE Member institutions who will be enrolled in an Honours program for some period between 1st January 2022 and 31st March 2022 can now apply for the 2022 AINSE Honours Scholarship.
 
To be eligible for the AINSE Honours Scholarship, students must be:

AINSE Honours Scholars will receive a A$5,000 stipend to assist them in their studies.
 
Applications close 15 March 2022. Students must complete the online application form through the AINSE Grants Portal and supply a copy of their Academic Transcript, along with a reference from their university supervisor.
 
Each application is assessed by a specialist committee that oversees the specified area of research.

2. Australian Battery Society – Energy Renaissance Innovator Award: applications open (applications close 17 December 2021)
 
Applications for the Energy Renaissance Innovator Award are now being accepted until 17th December 2021.
 
If you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for an Energy Renaissance Innovator Award to benefit not only your studies and career but to make a difference to energy storage in Australia by sharing the knowledge you gain from your Award, the Australian Battery Society encourages you to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for Honours students, PhD students, and early career scientists in the energy space.

3. ANSTO 2022-1 Proposal Round – applications now open
(applications close 15 February 2022 for ACNS and NDF)
(applications close 28 February 2022 for other ANSTO Lucas Heights Facilities)
 
Call for Proposals at ANSTO’s Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering (ACNS) and National Deuteration Facility (NDF) – Round 2022-1
 
The ACNS & NDF 2022-1 proposal round deadline has been extended to 15 February 2022 (for instrument time from July 2022) due to the significant experimental backlog that has been created as result of the COVID lockdown in Sydney.
 
Submission Deadline: 15 February 2022, for instrument time between July and December 2022
Proposals must be submitted on-line at: http://portal.ansto.gov.au/

ACNS is open for proposals for these neutron-beam instruments and facilities.
 
NDF is open for proposals for Biological and Chemical Deuteration
