Develop skills to make connections, identify new opportunities and create possible collaborations with key industry stakeholders.
There are many factors driving researchers and universities to increase and improve collaborations with industry stakeholders, including to diversify research income, help their research achieve greater impact and to gain access to specialist industry knowledge. The ANU Technology Transfer Office is hosting an intensive, full-day workshop for ANU researchers interested in developing their industry engagement skills to better foster these relationships.
Examples of topics covered in this workshop include communicating and connecting effectively with non-science and technology stakeholders, Identifying and articulating engagement opportunities between your research group/school and potential clients and introducing yourself at networking and industry events by creating a personal pitch.
Who should attend: This workshop is suitable for HDR students, academics and professional staff at ANU who are pursuing commercial pathways with their research projects, or are working with those who are, and are interested in learning how to better engage with industry partners.

The workshop is free to attend, but spaces are strictly limited - make sure you register via Eventbrite to secure your spot. More information: bit.ly/2oJrQTF
