PhB end of semester summary:

This semester we had 13 students taking Advanced Study Courses (ASCs) in Physics.

Many thanks go to the following supervisors (and the groups!) who hosted these students:

Geoff Campbell, AJ Mitchell, Tibor Kibedi, Daniel Shaddock, Joshua Machacek, Morgan Hedges, Joe Hope (x2!), Cormac Corr and Clive Michael, Sean Hodgman, Marcus Doherty (x2), and Ben Buchler

Special additional thanks to Geoff Campbell, Joshua Machacek, Sean Hodgman, and Lan Fu who volunteered to panel-mark the ASC reports this semester. This was no small undertaking and your assistance with this task is very gratefully acknowledged and appreciated.

If anyone has a project suitable for a PhB student pls consider posting the project on the Physics Project webpage (via your RSPE profile) or contact me for further details. In particular, we are always in need of theoretical projects and projects suitable for 1st year students.

Finally, I would also like to thank all the staff involved in mentoring the PhB students this year and ask that anyone interested in mentoring a new student for 2018 pls let me know!
