Call for Participants – RSPE 3 Minute Thesis Competition 2017

The ANU Research School of Physics and Engineering invites you to register as a participant for the School heat of the 2017 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition.

 

The 3MT is an academic competition that challenges PhD students to describe their research in plain language within three minutes to a general audience, with only a single PowerPoint slide. 3MT celebrates the discoveries made by research students and encourages their skill in communicating the importance of research to the broader community.

 

When
Thursday, 3 August 2017, 11.00am

The School heat will be followed by the College 3MT heat at 2pm on 14 August 2017 ready for the ANU 3MT final on 6 September 2017

In regard to prizes on offer, RSPE awards up to $200, ANU College awards up to $1,000 as research support grant and up to $4,000 on offer for ANU final 3MT. The winner of the ANU 3MT final will go on to compete in the Asia Pacific final, held at the University of Queensland.
