Director's Message
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you all enjoyed the glorious Canberra sun over the weekend.
After the ANU Council meeting last Friday I hope to confirm by School-wide email the details of our School name change later this week. For most people, it should be a pretty facile process although back-of-house there is a fair bit to do and I greatly appreciate the efforts of James Irwin, Sue Wigley and Martin Conway to affect the myriad changes necessary.
It is just over two weeks before applications for the Associate Director (Research) position close. If you have an interest in this role now, or in the future, and are Level C academic or above please discuss with your supervisor and Head of Department.
I took this week’s pic when I visited the workshop in Physics North last week. Standing in front of their handy work, Neil Devlin (left) and Tom Cave are assembling components of a new torsion pendulum being designed by Dr Bram Slagmolen (OzGrav/DQS). Feel free to send any interesting photos you take around the School or while you’re travelling to Sue.
Have a good week,
Tim |
