Extreme Waves in Dissipative Systems

Three sources and constituent parts of the concept of dissipative solitons Three sources and constituent parts of the concept of dissipative solitons

My research interest is in Dissipative Systems.
'Extreme Waves in Dissipative Systems' have applications and reveal new insights in light-wave signals for improving modern laser designs, particularly for critical applications.

Dissipative systems can describe the deterministic behavior of light waves through bifurcations, inflections points and into chaotic regimes. Dissipative systems build on the concept of dissipative solitons (see figure).

Mathematical techniques to such highly nonlinear far from equilibrium system dynamics have not made significant progress for the past 3 decades. Hence, numerical techniques are used to investigate these self-organizing dynamics and are found to model dynamics observed in nature.

My research interest is to also explore and develop a better mathematical notation that may better assist in seeking new solutions of dissipative systems that are of high practical interest.

Dissipative systems may be used to model other areas of physics, financial and economic modeling including new insights into biology.
