Director's Message
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you have had a good weekend.
I was hoping to announce a truly exciting development for one of our student-led companies but that will have to wait until next week. For this week’s announcements please scan below for detail. My congratulations to the participants in the ARC Centre of Excellence Dark Matter Particle Physics on the Centre’s official commencement last week. I have been involved in establishment of the company that will manage the underground laboratory in Stawell, Victoria and I can say it will be a remarkable facility.
Please note the deadline for Market Day Projects (1st October) and the closing date for registration in the Carver Seminar Series (28th September). Seen above the late Professor John Carver in his final year as Director (1978-1992). The student seminar series remembers his long commitment to postgraduate research in the School and to this day we remain the largest and most diverse Physics-focussed student community in Australia.
Have a good week, Tim |
