Director's Message

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to congratulate Professor Jodie Bradby on her appointment as President of the Australian Institute of Physics.  This is the most prominent representative role for professional physicists in Australia and Jodie is only the second woman to hold the position.  This is a great time to consider joining the AIP. A strong membership helps government understand the crucial role we play in the prosperity of country.  Our thanks go to Professor Andrew Peele, outgoing President and Director of the Australian Synchrotron for his leadership of the great AIP during his term.

Kambri is opening today!  Come and see this amazing development to be opened at 9:45 with special guest Peter Garrett (MP and lead of the band Midnight Oil).

Tomorrow, the VC will deliver his State of the University address at Llewellyn Hall at 11am.

Have a good week,

Tim
