Director's Message
Dear Colleagues and members of the new College of Science,
With the change of College name please remember to change your signature block, business cards and most importantly the address on your publications. Our new Dean, Professor Kiaran Kirk, will be joining us on Wednesday at School Forum. A reminder for anyone who would like their reps to present agenda items at the School Forum to send these to Sue asap. I'll be speaking a little about Figtree and our need to monitor near misses.
You’ve got to love a School that can raise almost $600 from a cupcake day. Many thanks to all the talented bakers who donated their time and tasty cakes. This week’s pic shows Pietro Toto, a visiting academic from University of Brescia who won the cupcake auction. That monster cupcake was the creation from Nikki Azzopardi at reception.
Founder’s Day is only 6 weeks away. It’s a great public show of our research so please have a discussion in your Departments about your presentation. Also have a think about who you would like to nominate for Staff awards this year. I'll send out the details shortly.
Speaking of public shows, ANU Open Day is tomorrow. If you have a chance please pop into the PEC Teaching Space, near DQS.
