Project details

We have been studying neuronal circuits and engineering them by using nanotechnology such as using ordered arrays of nanowires.  We use calcium imaging techniques to measure the neuronal activity.  Our ultimate aim is to develop neuronal patches to assist people with neurological disorders such as dementia, Alzheimers.  This project is a multi-disciplinary project will involve neurobiology and nanotechnology.  You will work with Dr. Vini Gautam in John Curtin School of Medical Research and my colleagues in the Research School of Physics and Engineering and the Australian National Fabrication Facility.
