The SCU (School Computer Unit) provides IT support and services to staff, students and collaborative groups within The Research School of Physics and Engineering.

We are located at Level 4, Leonard Huxley Building.

Changing your password

You can change your University account password at http://identity.anu.edu.au
You can change your RSPE computer account password at https://physics.anu.edu.au/passwd
Both of the above websites require you to know your current password. If you no longer know your current password please visit the SCU to get your password reset.

Passwords must be of sufficient complexity, at least 8 characters long with a mix of upper/lower case, numbers, symbols, etc. If your new password does not meet these standards you will be prompted to try again.

Still running XP or just need a re-install?

Unfortunately XP is no longer receiving security updates from Microsoft and will increasingly become an security risk on the school's network. If you are still using XP please contact us to discuss your options.

We can upgrade most RSPE computers to Windows 7 or 8.1 for free. We aim to get most computers re-installed (including OS, most applications, and restoring your user files) in under a day.

Please contact us on rspe.it@anu.edu.au
